NGMA Arboretum. Do join us
for the walk in the NGMA. The walk is being taken by Mr.
S. Karthikeyan who will tell us
about the trees in bloom during this
month. Registrations are limited, so

NGMA's TREE OF THE MONTH
Bombax is a genus of mainly
tropical trees in the mallow family.
It is native to western Africa, the
Indian subcontinent, southeast Asia,
as well as sub-tropical regions of
east Asia and northern Australia.
Common names for the genus include
Silk Cotton Tree, Simal, Red
Cotton Tree, Kapok and simply
Bombax.

NGMA Bengaluru turns 3!
The NGMA, Bengaluru will complete 3 years on
18th February 2012. I would like to
thank all of you for helping us make
NGMA one of the important cultural
hubs of Bangalore.
We are celebrating the third
anniversary of the establishment of
NGMA, Bengaluru. A gallery treasure
hunt, a clay workshop, and an art
quiz have been organised as part of
this celebration.
